We arrived at Alamanda Palm Cove Resort after 3 hour-flight from Sydney-Cairns, and 30 min-drive from Cairns Airport-Palm Cove. We found this tiny' super market' nearby and they sold the biggest bag of chips for $6.00 ( keep in mind that you can get 1/3 the amount of chips for the same amount of dollars back in Sydney). After a quick acclaim at how cheap it is to live in Cairns, we quickly digged in and demolished the whole thing,
After snack, and a quick wander around our neighbourhood (turned out Alamanda is centralised around heaps of chic restaurants, bar and brunches- but more on that later), we headed back to our resort. Pictured is baby Gordon and me testing the swing chairs in the resort lobby. It was quite a treat... for me holding this bundle of joy. =)
After a morning stroll around the beautiful area of Palm Cove where we called home for a couple of (very blissful) days, we settled in Chill Cafe which literally located right across our resort for some breakfast (talking about convenience ey!)...
Our second day was packed with a lot of activities including cabling across the Kuranda rain forest and riding the scenic train back...
After we headed back to the resort, it was time for an afternoon beach session followed by the pool. B.l.i.s.s (wearing White Summer maxi flowy dress)
We headed to the Great Barrier Reef and did snorkelling for the very first time in my life. And I was enchanted not only by the fun experience but also because of the Reef's beauty. Definitely so blessed to be able to visit this magnificent natural wonder, I can't wait to come back soon <3
